Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) reinforced its culture of safety and preparedness as it conducted a Fire and Earthquake Simulation Drill on March 25, 2026, at the Administration Building, Main Campus, in line with Fire Prevention Month.

Led by the University DRRM Unit in partnership with the LGU Bunawan MDRRMO and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the activity engaged administrative personnel, with some students present, in a coordinated emergency response exercise.

From the sound of the alarm to the final headcount at designated assembly areas, participants moved with heightened awareness and coordination—reflecting the university’s continued efforts to build a more responsive and safety-conscious community.

While minor observations were noted during the drill, these will be used to further enhance existing protocols and ensure more efficient responses in real-life situations.

Through initiatives like this, ADSSU affirms its commitment to advancing the safety, wellness, and preparedness of its community through continuous learning and strong inter-agency collaboration, supporting SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and strengthening resilience in line with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
