Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) reinforced its commitment to transparent and efficient public service through a three-day training on Republic Act No. 12009, also known as the New Government Procurement Act (NGPA), and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), held on April 22–24, 2026 at the DTC Function Hall. 

The training gathered ADSSU administrative staff, equipping them with updated knowledge and practical insights on government procurement processes, an essential function that supports institutional accountability and effective resource management.

Endorsed by the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB), the training brought together certified resource persons who led sessions on key areas: Dr. Florife O. Urbiztondo on RA 12009 and strategic procurement planning, Mr. Paul A. Abarca on procurement modes, and Dr. Felix R. Ocarez on contract implementation and sanctions. 

This initiative highlights ADSSU’s commitment to good governance and institutional excellence, aligned with SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
