BUNAWAN, Agusan del Sur — Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) welcomed representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on July 28, 2026, for a courtesy visit and initial discussion on the proposed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the establishment of a Job Placement Office (JPO).

The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of ADSSU and DOLE to strengthen employment facilitation, career guidance, and job placement services for the University’s students, graduates, and alumni. The proposed partnership aims to institutionalize a Job Placement Office that will serve as a vital platform for connecting job seekers with employment opportunities while enhancing graduates’ readiness for the workforce.

During the discussion, officials from both institutions exchanged insights on the roles and responsibilities necessary for the implementation of the proposed MOA. The establishment of the Job Placement Office is expected to provide labor market information, career coaching, employment referrals, job matching, and other career support services that will benefit the ADSSU community.

The initiative also seeks to strengthen collaboration between the University, government agencies, and industry partners in promoting graduate employability and addressing the evolving demands of the labor market. Through the proposed partnership, ADSSU continues to expand opportunities that empower its students and alumni to pursue meaningful and sustainable careers.
