The Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) strengthened its commitment to responsible digital governance through the seminar “Digital Governance: Managing Our Social Media and Protecting Our Brand” held today, September 10, 2026, at the QAM Function Hall.

The activity featured Atty. Jaybe D. Quiñonez, Lawyer and PR Strategist, as resource speaker, who shared insights on responsible social media management, effective digital communication, and protecting the University’s identity and brand in the digital space.

Among the key topics discussed was how to spot and verify fake news, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and responsible information sharing. Participants were guided on recognizing misleading or questionable content, checking sources, and exercising caution before engaging with or sharing information online.

The discussion also underscored the importance of maintaining a consistent, credible, and responsible institutional presence across digital platforms. Proper social media practices were highlighted as essential in strengthening public trust and effectively communicating the University’s programs, activities, and services.

Through the initiative, ADSSU continues to equip its personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital environment responsibly while upholding the University’s reputation and institutional identity.
