Trento, Agusan del Sur — Fourth-year students from the College of Business Administration (CBA) of Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT) – Trento Campus officially launched their business implementation through a ribbon-cutting ceremony today, March 6, 2026.

The activity marked a significant milestone for the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship students as they formally introduced their business venture, translating classroom knowledge into practical experience.

The launching ceremony gathered faculty members, student leaders, and partner agencies in support of the students’ entrepreneurial initiative. Messages of encouragement were delivered by Dr. Rodel L. Oclaret, Dean of the College of Business Administration and Campus Director; Ma’am Richelle A. Espineda, Agribusiness Program Chairperson; and Dr. Donald Cyndyl L. Miguel, BS Entrepreneurship Program Chairperson, as students begin managing their business. The activity was also blessed with a prayer led by Ptr. Jeffrey L. Margate.

Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Agusan del Sur, represented by Mr. Aldwin Jason B. Pontillo, and the Local Government Unit, represented by Mr. Arnold Pascual, also attended the event and shared messages of support for the aspiring entrepreneurs.

Through initiatives like this, ASSCAT strengthens experiential learning while advancing the United Nations SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by equipping students with practical entrepreneurial skills that promote innovation and support local economic development.
