ASSCAT Successfully Holds “Run With Joy” in Support of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC

Bunawan, Agusan del Sur — The Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT), together with the Gender and Development (GAD) Office, Supreme Student Government (SSG), and Extension Services, successfully conducted Run With Joy today, November 29, 2025, at the ASSCAT Main Campus.

The fun run gathered students, employees, alumni, local runners, and community members in a united call to support the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). The event promoted not only physical wellness but also heightened awareness on gender equality and the importance of building a violence-free community.

Participants ran across 10km, 5km, and 3km categories, pushing through the course with great energy and enthusiasm. The highlight of the event was the awarding of the Top 3 male and female finishers, who received cash prizes and plaques for their exceptional performance.

Special awards also added excitement to the gathering, recognizing the Run Club with the Most Participants, as well as the Youngest and Oldest Runners in both male and female divisions.

Through this initiative, ASSCAT reaffirmed its dedication to promoting gender-sensitive programs and encouraging active involvement in meaningful causes.
