Before the competitions begin, friendships are already being formed.

Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) warmly welcomed the technical officials of Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and Aerobic Gymnastics during a Welcome Night held on May 22, 2026, as part of the province’s preparations for the Agusan del Sur – Palarong Pambansa 2026.

In collaboration with DepEd Bunawan, the evening brought together delegates, organizers, and guests for a memorable gathering filled with fellowship, cultural performances, games, music, and dance. The fellowship dinner was generously sponsored by the Local Government Unit of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur under the leadership of Mayor Sylvia Barrios Elorde, together with the Sangguniang Bayan headed by Vice Mayor Ednard Gil Elorde and the municipal council members.

Guests were treated to vibrant performances by the Saliao Performing Arts Guild and local talents, offering a glimpse into the rich culture and warm hospitality of Agusan del Sur.

Joining the celebration were members of the ADSSU Top Management led by University President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, who welcomed the delegates and shared in the excitement of the upcoming games.

The evening also reflected the collective effort behind a dream that is now becoming a reality. Through the leadership and support of the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur headed by Governor Santiago “Santi” B. Cane Jr., Vice Governor Patricia Anne “Ate Pat” B. Plaza, First District Representative Alfelito M. Bascug, and Second District Representative Adolph Edward “Eddiebong” G. Plaza, together with partner agencies, local government units, schools, and communities, Agusan del Sur stands ready to host the nation for Palarong Pambansa 2026.

As laughter filled the venue and new friendships took shape, one thing was clear: the Palaro spirit has arrived in Agusan del Sur.
