The Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU), through the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), welcomed its newly hired employees through an onboarding session held at the DTC Function Hall as part of the series of activities for the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.
The session provided the new personnel with a comprehensive orientation on the University’s policies, programs, procedures, and workplace expectations. It also familiarized them with their respective roles and responsibilities, institutional protocols, and the standards they are expected to uphold as members of the public workforce. Discussions also included Soil Science in ADSSU, providing the new employees with an overview of the field’s role in the University’s academic and institutional programs.
The onboarding emphasized professionalism, integrity, accountability, and commitment to public service, equipping the newly hired employees with essential knowledge as they begin their respective roles at the University. It likewise provided an opportunity to introduce them to the organizational culture and values that guide ADSSU in delivering quality and responsive service to its stakeholders.
Through the initiative, the University reinforces its commitment to developing a competent and service-oriented workforce. By strengthening employee capacity and promoting accountability in public service, the activity contributes to SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, which advances effective and accountable institutions.
