Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) joined the Municipality of Bunawan in the opening celebration of the 67th Araw ng Bunawan and 24th Haw-an Festival 2026 held on today, June 19, 2026 at the Bunawan Municipal Grounds.

The opening program, observed as Farmers’ and Indigenous Peoples’ Day, brought together local government officials, farmers, Indigenous Cultural Communities, and various stakeholders in honoring the people and traditions that continue to shape the municipality’s identity and development.

ADSSU President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, together with the University’s Vice Presidents, faculty, and staff, was present in full support of the municipality’s celebration.

The program featured messages from Vice Mayor Hon. Ednard Gil B. Elorde and Mayor Hon. Sylvia B. Elorde, alongside the unveiling of completed projects and the recognition of farmers’ associations and outstanding people’s organizations.

Highlight of the event was the SADSAD TU BUNAWAN, where participating barangays showcased performances that reflected Bunawan’s rich cultural heritage, Indigenous traditions, and enduring community spirit.

As Bunawan marks another year of progress and achievement, ADSSU stands in solidarity with the municipality in celebrating its history, honoring its people, and promoting the preservation of its cultural legacy for future generations.
