Today, June 12, 2026, the Agusan del Sur State University (ADSSU) joined fellow Agusanons in the Grand Opening of Naliyagan Festival 2026 at the Naliyagan Grounds in Prosperidad, marking the start of a vibrant celebration of the province’s identity, progress, culture, and shared aspirations.

Leading the ADSSU delegation was University President Dr. Joy C. Capistrano, together with the Vice Presidents, Directors, Deans, faculty members, staff, and students, proudly taking part in one of the province’s most anticipated annual celebrations.

Adding color and pride to the opening festivities, the ADSSU Saliao Performing Arts Guild delivered a captivating opening salvo, showcasing the University’s commitment to preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Agusan del Sur through music, dance, and artistic expression.

More than a festival, Naliyagan serves as a celebration of the Agusanon spirit—a tribute to the province’s history, culture, resilience, and collective aspirations. It is a gathering where traditions are honored, local talents are showcased, and communities come together in unity and pride.

ADSSU stands alongside the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur in commemorating the province’s achievements and advancing a shared vision of sustainable development, cultural preservation, and inclusive progress.
